List of amenties provided for you at the Hot Springs Log Cabins

Hot Springs Log Cabins Amenities

  • All five of our romantic cabins enjoy the same cozy layout & amenities. (Holly has two porches & hot tub party lights, Paw Print has a fenced yard for the pooches.)
  • Cabins are spread out over 11 acres.
  • Each cabin has internet and WIFI connectivity
  • Each has a new PRIVATE HOT TUB for a relaxing soak on the covered porch.
  • GRANITE kitchens with stainless steel appliances & smooth-top range. Gorgeous new lapidous counters in the bath with an elegant vessel sink & waterfall faucet!
  • 40″ flatscreen HDTV with Roku streaming and live TV via YoutubeTV, plus a BlueRay/DVD player. The TV is mounted so that it can be swiveled to view from the futon, dining booth, or bedroom!
  • Year-round FIREPLACES with an elegant curved glass front. Enjoy the flames any time you like at the flip of a switch without the hassle of wood or propane.
  • We have also installed super efficient mini-split HVAC systems. Select your temperature and the cabin will stay that way – as cool or toasty as you would like. Super quiet too!
  • “Concierge Book” in every cabin full of maps, menus, brochures, hiking trails, and other area information.
  • Linens, towels, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, shower soap
  • Full bathroom with toilet & 5′ shower, lighted make-up mirror, hair dryer, iron for touch-ups (no ironing board)
  • The Meadow – We have a natural mountain meadow that all of our guests are welcome to come enjoy with a glass of wine or perhaps a frisbee. Please expect taller grass & wildflowers in the meadow during the spring/summer – you will be rewarded with birds and butterflies – and often turkeys and deer!
  • California king mattresses with plush memory foam topper encased in a hypo-allergenic envelope with a blanket and quilt on top.
  • Please note that sitting area couch does NOT fold out for additional sleeping. We are for 2 adults max occupancy.
  • Full kitchen with pots, pans, bowls, bakeware, muffin tins, colander, dishes, utensils, knives, cutting boards, dish soap, paper towels, cooking spray, microwave, stove, fridge w/freezer, ice cube trays, toaster, and an assortment of spices. Bring your own coffee, cooking oil, plastic wrap, foil, leftover containers, & cooler w/freezer packs for packed lunches. Please note we do NOT provide coffee or cooking oils as personal preferences vary widely.
  • 12 cup Coffee maker with filters (Don’t forget your coffee!)
  • Corkscrews, wine glasses, champagne glasses, and acrylic hot tub glasses!
  • Gas grill – propane provided so no need for gas or charcoal!
  • Washer and dryer – The washer and dryer are compact units with a very small capacity – roughly two pairs of pants. They are there if you find you need to wash some items during your stay, but please do not plan to do large volumes of laundry as they are easily overwhelmed! Dryer sheets are provided.
  • Hot tub and white cedar double rocker & picnic table on covered porch. Hot tubs are maintained with proper bromine levels. 104 degrees is highest possible temp on our hot tubs as dictated by federal consumer protection law in 1980. Hot tubs are cleaned, serviced, and tested when we prepare your cabin for you.
  • Most cell phones can get some service at the cabins, and can do texts. Some can do video chats. For best cell service, please be sure roaming is enabled! The tower in Hot Springs is US Cellular. AT&T seems to have good service. We also text back and forth on Verizon. Sprint is more marginal. Or turn your phone off and tell everyone there is no service!
  • No bonfires, campfires, firepits, etc. allowed on the premises. The risk of a forest fire is too high.
  • No firearms of any kind are allowed to be discharged on the property.
  • Absolutely no smoking inside please! Ashtray for smoking outside on the porch only.
  • Your Detailed Confirmation – We will email you with our address & driving directions, detailed check-in procedures, & complete payment details. You are responsible to read/print/save this confirmation and take advantage of all the information we share with you to plan a fantastic getaway in the mountains!
  • We want our guests to know what to expect, be prepared, & be HAPPY!!! We strive to provide you with tons of information & photos so that you can determine if our cozy log cabins for two meet your needs – and know what to pack and what we provide for your stay.
  • Groceries – Stock up before you arrive as the small stores in and around Hot Springs have a limited selection of goods. Don’t forget condiments & burgers or steaks for the grill. Also bring whatever adult beverages you enjoy as you can only purchase beer and wine in Hot Springs. Bring your own coffee, cooking oil, plastic wrap, aluminum foil, leftover containers, specialty spices, & cooler w/freezer packs for packed lunches. Please note we do NOT provide coffee or cooking oils as personal preferences vary widely.
  • Specialty kitchen gadgets – Please bring any specialty kitchen items such as: blender, mixer, crockpot, deep fryer, cheese graters, whisks, etc. We keep our kitchens stocked with the basics plus spices, cutting boards, knives, bakeware, muffin tins, etc.
  • Gasoline – Again, fill up on the way to your cabin. Hours can be limited in Hot Springs.
  • Flea/tick protection for your pets. They may be exposed to more insects out in nature here than they normally encounter in their suburban life. The cabins themselves are designed without carpet or upholstery such that they cannot host such pests, but we have no control over the outdoors.
  • Sunscreen/Bug Spray for yourselves.
  • Personal Travel First Aid Kit – band aids, eye drops, tweezers, creams, pain reliever, and whatever else is important to you.
  • Personal toiletries – Shower and hand soap is provided, but bring shampoo, toothpaste, moisturizer, etc.
  • Additional linens – We provide 4 bath towels, 2 hand towels, and 2 washcloths per cabin. You are welcome to freshen them in the dryer (dryer sheets provided).  We make the bed with clean sheets and have a spare set in the cabin. If you would like additional towels/linens/pillows (or have special laundering requirements), please bring your linens from home.
  • Please make a reservation with us if you would like to stay in a private rustic log cabin vacation rental in a rural wooded setting in the mountains. We do everything humanly possible to ensure that your cabin is clean with all advertised amenities in good working order for you. If a coffee pot or similar breaks, we usually have a replacement on hand – just let us know so that we may fix it for you. We recently upgraded the cabin kitchens, baths, fireplaces, TV’s, & HVAC systems. All five cabins got brand new hot tubs!
  • All roads leading to the cabins and town of Hot Springs (& our main driveway) are paved – but do expect curvy mountain roads! There are also gravel roads to explore if you wish – for example visiting Max Patch Bald. We suggest arriving before dark as you navigate unfamiliar mountain roads to arrive at your cozy log cabin for two.
  • Please note that we offer independent cabin/vacation rentals; we are not a hotel or resort. We do not have a front desk, morning coffee, or daily maid service.
  • Want flowers in your cabin? Shady Side Florist: 828-649-3343 is located in Marshall, but they are happy to deliver flowers to the cabins. (Just let us know that they will be delivering to your cabin.)
  • For Hikers – water bottles, maps, compass, binoculars, layers, rain jacket, comfortable shoes, hat, sunglasses.
  • For Insiders – Good books/magazines, DVDs/BlueRays, maybe even an old-fashioned card or board game.
  • For WiFi – Several places in town (6 miles away) offer complimentary WiFi such as the Welcome Center and Iron Horse Station.
  • We offer you the chance to UNPLUG & RECONNECT with each other – REST, RELAX, & RENEW!!!
  • All are welcome at Hot Springs Log Cabins. We absolutely do not discriminate based on religion, race, sexual orientation, political affiliation, dog breed/size, or dietary preference! We do however, at our sole discretion, reserve the right to politely refuse a reservation for anyone we think is likely to be unhappy at our cabins. We want HAPPY GUESTS!
