Pets

We are pet friendly! We love animals and want you and your pet to enjoy some time in the mountains! Click here to see our pet amenities and cabins.

We do charge a pet-fee - a one time fee that covers two pets for the entire length of their stay. A portion of every pet fee is DONATED to local spay and neuter programs. The animals thank you in advance!!!!!

Please ask us if your pets number more than two and we will try to accommodate your family for an additional pet fee to cover the extra cleaning to make it spotless for our next guests. If approved, a second pet fee will be added to your reservation.

Pet-friendly Cabins

We have four cabins that are pet-friendly and set up for a mountain getaway with a dog with a pooch pail of toys and a doggy gate on the porch: The Paw Print, The Hound Heaven, The Holly, and The Pine. (No pets allowed in The Oak please!)

All 4 pet friendly cabins feature a doggy gate on the porch. The Paw Print features a fenced yard that is directly accessible from the porch. The pet owners are responsible for their pets at all times (maximum of two unless special arrangements are made). You will be expected to pick up your dog’s waste from the grounds/kennel/yard and place it in a plastic baggy in the outdoor trash can. Pets are welcome inside the cabins, but you will be responsible for any damage to your cabin caused by your pet.

Pet Requirements

Pets are required to be UTD on all shots and have flea/tick protection. They are likely to encounter many more insects when out hiking (or even just using the bathroom) than they are accustomed to in their more suburban lives.

We reserve the right to make your pet find other accommodations if he or she at any time disturbs our other guests. No refunds will be granted to early departures due to problem pets. (Not that we have had a single problem with a pet guest!

We absolutely loved our stay at Hot Spring Log Cabins! The cabin had everything we needed and felt so cozy – even our two cats enjoyed it. The peaceful nature around was perfect for walks and relaxation, and the jacuzzi was simply amazing after a day outside. A wonderful place to recharge – highly recommended!

An excellent location for relaxing in the mountains of NC. The cabin had everything we needed, and was clean and comfy. The meadow is great for stargazing on a clear night. The hot tub is a welcome respite from the day's hiking. We loved the Max Patch section of the AT (thanks for your great directions on how to get there) and the Lover's Leap loop just outside Hot Springs! The town of Hot Springs was devastated by last year's hurricane, but it is coming back strong! Many restaurants, shops and the brewery have re-opened and need our tourism dollars, so it's a great time to return.

The first time we stayed at Hot Springs Log Cabins, we brought our two "oldsters" to try out one of the pet friendly cabins. We were not disappointed and neither were Napolean and Sadie. Everything was perfect for all of us. The accommodations are so well thought out for both people and animals. Sadly, our second visit was without our sweet ones. Both of them were 17 years old and passed within two months of each other. Our reservations were already made, so my husband and I returned to Hot Springs Cabins- just the two of us. It was sad for us to start with, but it was exactly what we needed...time to reconnect, renew, and relax. We will definitely return again.Thank you for providing such a restful haven for all to enjoy.

The Mountains were gorgeous. The skinny roads while not their fault, were nerve racking for this city boy.

If you are looking for. peaceful, clean, and comfortable cabin in the cool woods, this is the place for you. We had a cabin called Holly, and it was just right for the two of us and our dog Chloe. We enjoyed seeing a deer while taking a walk, and who knows what all Chloe saw watching from the porches, but she loved it. The town of Hot Springs seems to be moving slowly from the clean-up after Hurricane Helene, but we managed to find what we needed as far as meals go. When we return we will take advantage of stopping at the grocery store a few towns away prior to our arrival. The cabin had a very concise assortment of pamphlets of nearby hiking and attractions, as well as directions for the cabin so there were no needed questions or concerns for the owners. Great place!
